BotGuard Web Application Firewall

BotGuard Web Application Firewall (WAF) is one of the 3 main security systems included in the BotGuard cloud service.

BotGuard WAF is your main line of defense against hacker attacks on web applications, including all the OWASP Top 10 threats like cross-site scripting (XSS), SQL injection (SQLI), cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and remote file inclusion (RFI).

Under the hood

Each suspicious request to the protected website is sent to the BotGuard cloud for analysis. BotGuard's high-performance cloud WAF determines in real time whether this request may pose a threat to the website or not. The result is sent back to your web server. As a result, a regular user gets a website page, while a hacker receives an error message.

The BotGuard cloud WAF analyzes the behavior of website visitors to identify patterns that may pose a threat. Our dynamically built database contains thousands of such patterns providing a fast and effective way to identify the majority of hacker attacks. Our research team is constantly expanding our database by monitoring all the data that matters for the website security.
